Child Rear Seat Restraint

Another case just hit the books where a child was awarded substantial damages for serious injuries because the rear seat restraint did not prevent her head from striking the roof of the vehicle when it rolled over.

This and other auto defect cases happened time and again.  Children are permanently injured because the manufacturer (in this case Ford Motor Company) did not learn anything from their past experiences and continue to manufacture vehicles that aren’t safe.  What does it take?

How do we get the message out to these manufacturers?  We need, to take drastic measures to educate them.  How about punishing them with such damages that it will interfere with their profit picture?
. . . yes, make it cost them.

What else?  Will letters and contact with your legislators help?  Letters to the editor?  Mothers against injury to children?  Think of something and do something now to protect our kids.

This is enough of a problem to fill our courts with litigation that will safeguard our safety and the safety of our children.

It is important enough for us to get mad about it.

Sincerely,

Carl Waldman
