Children

Our children are the pearls of our civilization.

Why do we tolerate those who would destroy their quality of life?

Why do we tolerate manufactures who fail to incorporate safety devices in the manufacture of their lethal weapons, guns?

Why do we tolerate the inclusion by manufacturers of lead in their paints knowing that lead destroys brain tissue?  The paint manufactures are and were well aware that children put flakes of lead paint in their mouths and they knew and know the consequences of doing so.

Why do we tolerate the flooding of the market with unsafe toys that are designed without regard to the injurious affect of those toys?

Why do we tolerate industries that pollute our air and cause serious harm to children and adults alike?

Why do we tolerate the distribution of defective products like lighters that mutilate children?  Very recently a jury in Texas awarded a badly injured child $4 million dollars for severe burns sustained when her dress was set on fire by a lighter that was not child resistant.

There are literally thousands of instances where failure to warn of defective products have caused children to spend the rest of their lives restricted and humiliated by preventable injuries.

Why do we tolerate this?

Why don’t we let our legislature and regulatory bodies know that we won’t tolerate this callous indifference to the safety of our families?

When are we going to sue these culprits and make it cost them so much that they will change their negligent ways?

When we will rise up and protect our families as we should?

Sincerely,

Carl Waldman
